Flamecraft & Soultrace - Our story

My name is Michael.

And this — Flamecraft & Soultrace — isn’t just what I do.
It’s how I found a way to keep breathing.

It started with loss.

After I lost my soul dog — my companion, my shadow, my silent strength —
I shattered in ways I didn’t know a heart could.

The house was full of silence.
And I didn’t know where to put all that love.

So I shaped it.

I made her a plaque —
with fire, with trembling hands, with tears on metal.

It didn’t take the pain away.
But it gave it a place.
A form.
A moment of stillness in the storm.

That’s when I understood:

There are things we carry that no one sees.
And maybe, just maybe, I could help others carry theirs —
not by fixing them, but by honoring what they lost.
What they love.

And so I began.

I work from a quiet place in the far north —
where Finland meets Sweden, on the edge of the forest.

Here, I live with my wife, our little son,
our dogs, horses, donkeys, cows and pigs.
It’s a simple life.
And a true one.

In this stillness, I shape memory.

I engrave names that mattered.
I weld what people can’t let go of.
I craft objects that carry love, memory, presence.

Some pieces are born from goodbye.
Others from a first kiss, a baby's name, a vow in the woods.

Because the moments that shape us deserve to be honored —
in grief, in joy, in love.

Some come here in grief.
Some in joy.
Some with a photo and shaking fingers.
Some with quiet eyes and no words.

All are welcome

I don’t mass-produce.
I listen.
And then I craft — with fire, with care, with soul.

you don’t have to hold it alone.

I’ll meet you where you are.
